FINDINGS
In this class, some students were able to find specific literature regarding their content (target geography and population) and some were not. Thus the findings section will be different. To make them as parallel as possible, the following information should be included in the findings.
A brief introductory paragraph explaining what will be discussed in the findings.
Next paragraph/s, in essay style, students will either discuss the specific data from reports or literature found about their target geography and population that relates to either the independent and dependent variable or both variables. In this discussion, you will share with the reader the themes, trends, or gaps in a similar fashion as you did in the literature review section, when you were discussing the overall variables, meaning separate the paragraphs by variables.
If there is no specific data or literature found about your target geography and population as it relates to your study variables, you will have to reintroduce (paraphrase differently), the general demographics of your study’s target geography and population. Then, you will have to share with the reader how the themes, gaps, and trends found in the literature review could possibly apply to your target geography and population. Again, do so by separating that literature in paragraphs by variables and being sure to refer to your target geography and population.
If there is appropriate data that can be displayed in a APA formatted table or chart, you may include one in the section after one, the others have to be included in the appendix with references made within the section text.
If is best that you try really hard to find actual data or literature on your target geography and population to have the strongest findings.
