Compare the description of the nature and value of philosophy as presented by Socrates with that given by Bertrand Russell and by the Beardsley. It is basically a compare and contrast question that asks you to explain where there are important similarities between the three readings and where there are important differences between the three readings.
The worst way of answering this question is to give 3 summaries and then say that they are sort of the same and sort of different because that is true of the 3 readings. Look for the important similarities and differences.
More importantly ( Do Not include your own views on the nature of philosophy or your reactions to the philosopher’s).
