State (Logos): Thesis statement (modified purpose statement) combined with credibility statement (as appropriate)
Support (Ethos): Provide a quote from a famous person supporting this topic matters.
Preview: Provide a preview of just the main points of your speech. In this case just two points: 1. What is (describe structure)…. II. How can we use (functionality)….

Must have five credible sources. Each source must be cited:
1. Orally
2. In text and on Reference Page APA
3. On Slides.
Body Connections (4 P’s)
Engage the audience!!! Make it come alive. Must have each of these in the BODY of the speech:
1. Personal Story (Names, dates, stakes, conclusion, connect to content)
2. Probing Questions: Ask audience to connect with and to the content.
3. Physical Activity: At least two butts out of seats…MOVE…Stand Up/Sit Down…Role Play
4. Prop: 3 D — may not be a movie or on a slide — use an object or create learning aids to help audience connect with content from speech.
ADD EXTRA – Incorporate use of chat, backgrounds and props to secure audience connection.
