ASSESSMENT 2: Session Planning (40%)
Develop a session plan (about 1.5 hours) of a selected sport for a group of 8-12
school children or athletes.
Guidelines:
1. Complete the session plan and fill in all necessary parts of the tabulated form
(app.1) provided (available at SOUL)
2. Identify the sport selected and level of athletes
3. Develop specific and measurable objectives (skill and fitness)
4. Identify different stages of the coaching session, e.g. skill practice, application,
fitness training …and so on with time allocated
5. Develop appropriate contents with progressions and practices
6. Write down major points for various learning activities
7. Draw diagrams to indicate organization of practices, if needed
8. Include a reference list at the end of the program plan. Suggested readings are
provided in the module outline.
Submission Guidelines:
Students are required to submit their session plan (3-4 pages) to Turnitin before 5
PM on 15 March 2023.
