This paper should include a thesis statement that gives an interpretation of some aspect of the story through the elements of fiction used (e.g. characterization, point of view, symbolism, etc. (See your book on Elements of Fiction or the Elements of Fiction sheet on D2L). Writing prompts are given below for you to follow, or you may come up with your own thesis statement if you e-mail it to me for approval at least five days before the due date. (Recognize that you may be asked to change this thesis statement, so the earlier, the better). The essay should be well-developed, organized, and grammatically correct.
