Assignment Description:
For this assignment, you will be placed (virtually) in a real-world scenario that occurs in schools. Please read the following description of the authentic performance task and complete the requirements as described in the scenario.
Imagine that you are now heading-up the team that will work to implement the two-week curriculum module for all of the 10th grade teachers in your district that you developed in Week 5. You have a meeting scheduled with your implementation team to discuss how the implementation of the curriculum, as well as professional development for the teachers, will proceed.
Standards and Criteria for Success: In writing, outline your implementation process. Be sure to include the following:
1. Address best practices for implementing change within an organization, including the five guidelines for successfully curriculum implementation in your textbook.
2. Discuss the type of change that this implementation will involve. Do you think that this type of change will be successful? Why or why not? What might you do to improve this change?
3. Identify the key players in this change and how you can facilitate successful communication and cooperation between all involved parties.
4. Describe how you will create and deliver appropriate professional development that will make implementation successful. What factors would you need to consider?
5. Identify the resistors to change that you may encounter and how you can work to successfully alleviate these resistors. Discuss how recognizing and anticipating these resistors can make the implementation process more successful.
The plan should be 2000 words and should include at least three (3) citations. The sections should be clearly marked with headings so that your instructor knows which points you are addressing. Follow the guidelines for APA writing style. The title page and references page do not count towards the minimum word amount for this assignment.
