“Given the political environment in the United States after the 2020 presidential and the 2022 mid-term elections, is it possible to find common ground for communication?”
This paper is five to seven page long, and should be structured in the following way:
First page (no matter which option below you choose) should explain what the question means to you and the context within which you plan to answer it. Take the words of the question and explain specifically what they mean to you, using examples from any media of your choice.
One option: offer multiple answers to the question (separate them by paragraphs or pages), given the texts we have read in the course; each answer should have its textual or logical support; end the paper with your own opinion.
Another option: spend two to three pages answering the title question in the affirmative, and explain, using the texts we have covered, what arguments can be formulated to support this answer; then spend two to three pages answering the title question in the negative, and explain, using the texts we have covered, what arguments can be formulated to support this alternative answer; end the paper with your own opinion.
Third option: after the opening page, choose your own way of responding to the title question, but make sure the paper does not turn into a stream-of-consciousness personal diatribe.
Fourth option: if you wish to write a paper on a different, but related topic, make sure to run it by your professor for approval ahead of time.
p.s. no cover page is necessary nor the customary four lines on the first page; make sure it’s double-spaced.
