Watch the Ted Talk “What is gender, anyway?” posted in this module.
Have you ever given much thought to your own gender identity? If you were asked to describe your gender identity in an essay or reflective piece of writing, what would you say about yourself (specifically in regards to gender)? How do you think your views were shaped?
Chapters 5 and 6 may hold different topics, but these certainly overlap. How does gender and overall identity relate to one another?
NOTE: I understand there is no “right or wrong” in this post. I am looking for a deep reflective analysis of yourself, how you see yourself, and how society sees YOU.
