PURPOSE:
The purpose of the Research Ethics Case Study Assignment is to help students to study and apply the principles of ethics in evaluating ethical issues occurring in previously completed research studies. The universal ethical theories and their relevance to nursing research are applied through an analysis of a research ethics case study.
Students will review the selected case study and write the answers to 3 of the 5 questions asked within the case study.
The students are expected to utilize and apply an understanding of Nuremberg Code, Belmont Report, and ANA Code of Ethics.
Answers should be supported by a minimum of two SCHOLARLY REFERENCES. These can be peer-reviewed articles and/or textbooks. APA 7th Edition formatting is required for in-text citations and reference lists.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Students will submit their completed template for the Research Ethics Case Study Assignment as a Word Document (attachment) Download Word Document (attachment)via the “Assignments” link by the deadline stated in the course schedule. Ten points per day will be deducted if submitted late. The assignment will not be accepted if submitted more than three days late.
Academic Integrity Reminder: Academic integrity will be upheld in the Basic Research Article Review assignment. This is an individual assignment, working with peers is considered a violation of academic integrity therefore will result in a zero on the assignment.
