You must use at least three sources, one must be a primary source (you may use more), and you must cite all sources using Chicago Manual Style. I have included a link to the CMS Quick Guide for help with citation and format.
Pretend you are a newly arrived immigrant living in New York City during the Gilded Age. Write a letter to a family member or friend in your home country telling them about your life in America. Be sure to include the problems you are facing and how you, your community, and others are trying to solve these problems. Finally, are these solutions helpful or not and why? You must still cite your sources using CMS as footnotes or endnotes.
