Jargon, specific terms for the actions in your game (i.e., for scoring)
watch and compare at least TWO levels of production (EGF vs. NECC, or amateur vs. corporate, or collegiate vs, professional)
Concerns for professional players (compared to casual players; i.e., wavedashing and no items in competitive Smash Bros.)
Prominent teams/players, casters, organizations
Fan pages professional forums, and other sites of the overall affinity space
