Draw, label and describe components of a neuron and synapse.
**you are asked to DRAW and LABEL the following two (2) structures:
1. Draw a Neuron, label and describe the purpose of each component of the neuron.
FIRST, you are to DRAW and then label the following structures: dendrite, cell body, nucleus, axon, myelin sheath and axon terminal buttons.
Make sure to Include an arrow indicating the direction of flow of information through the neuron.
THEN Briefly define/note the purpose of each structure.
2. Draw a Synapse, label the structures and describe the purpose of each component.
AFTER you complete the neuron, you are to draw, label and describe the components of a SYNAPSE.
FIRST you label the following structures: axon terminal button, synaptic vesicles, neurotransmitters, synaptic cleft, dendrite, and receptor sites.
Make sure to Include an arrow indicating the process of Reuptake.
Lastly, describe or define the components of a synapse.
