Article Critique: The journal article critique assignment will enhance the graduate student’s ability to critically read and analyze published research. The student will select an empirical article from a refereed or scholarly journal, identify the major components of the article, and assess whether the authors have clearly described and supported each element. The review should be no more than two (2) pages.
Topics: MUST BE IN THE WORKPLACE: Alcohol use, drug use (any drug), gambling, porn.
The review should address the following sections:
• Statement of the Problem (which includes the research topic, research and problem statement, and research questions(s) or hypotheses)
• Review of the Literature
• Methods (See rubric for additional details)
• Results
• Discussion/Conclusions
• Overall Impression of the article
• Adheres to APA Guidelines
• Grammar and Sentence Structure
• A copy of the article MUST be submitted with the paper (If the article is not attached, then the paper will not be graded, and the student will receive zero (0) points).
