After reviewing the article, select one of the following options:
a. Describe whether or not you agree with Straus’ (2013) conceptualization of autism. Are there any problems with his positions (logical inconsistencies, overlooking of challenges faced by people with autism, etc.)? Provide evidence from the disability and scientific literature to support your own position.
b. Describe what is meant by the medical model of disability and social model of disability as per Straus (2013). Discuss how these two models are different, and how they emerged historically. Use evidence from the disability literature to clarify how these models developed.
