The purpose(s) of the subject matter expert (SME) tracking tool is to establish a criterion by which the communication team can maintain meaningful data sources for each article published. A designated subject matter expert or a supervisor will provide information as it pertains to their area of expertise and experience.
General Procedures:
· Conducting research on a variety of subject matter areas that will best suit points of information to convey
· Exploring external and internal sources of information to capture for intended audience:
· Compile and summarize data collected in collaboration with comm., team members, to authenticate sources of information acquire
· Examining the extent on how long the article needs to be or should be
· Providing selected area of interest to leadership for consideration and begin drafting article
· Document sources of information on what is occurring and how the process is being conducted
· Categorize articles by keywords for easy access, by placing them in order of dates and significance to improve readership
· Tracking key priority issues or obstacles that may have hindered timely deliverable of article.

Data points to be capture:
· Article title
· Author(s) of the article
· Actual Article date
· Article completion date
· The date the article was published
· The name of the Supervisor/Team lead SME who provided the information.
Tracking Maintenance and Team Assignments
