development of social skills and healthy relationships in children’s early years.
(a) Examine one (1) theory of socialization and show how the ideas of this theory can be
majorly instrumental in the development of children’s social skills.
(b) Select one (1) agency of socialization and explain the role(s) of its agents in the
development of social skills.
(c) Explain one (1) factor within the agency identified that might contribute to the undersocialization of the young child, and describe two (2) discipline encounters that a classroom
teacher may have to address in lieu of this. (Support with relevant references).
(d) State and briefly explain three (3) reasons why the process of socializing young children
may/may not be effective in developing their social skills with regard the following:
