This assignment technically belongs in the exploration argument category.
Instead of having just one, concise thesis statement, you will be working with multiple
questions. The three guiding questions I want you to focus on for this assignment are:
1.) Based on your reading of Weixlmann, our class discussion, and your independent
research, what are the main problems with the literary canon?
2.) Building on your answer to question 1, what are some logical solutions to the canon
conundrum?
3.) Keeping your first two answers in mind, where does YOUR “top ten” fall? Are you guilty
of perpetuating the issues with the canon? How could you fix it? Should you?
