What I have so far for part 1:
For my argumentative research paper topic, I have chosen “The need to pass laws that make it easier for workers to organize and form unions” For this topic I plan to research on how The United States was thriving when unionized labor was at its peak. How “Right to Work’ laws do nothing to empower workers but on the contrary, it takes power from workers to organize and get a seat at the table, to bargain for better wages, benefits, and safer workplaces. My research paper will make the argument that an organized workforce that comes to the negotiations table as one, with one voice, gets a better deal than coming separate. The research paper will make the argument that an organized labor workforce is better for the communities as the money being made by the workers that are part of the community, is being spent in the community, making small businesses successful and thrive against big corporations. My paper will include research about unionized and non-unionized workers’ wages. My research paper will include different views of pro unions and views that are against unionizing workplaces.
