1. Summary of your global issue – Explain the importance of your global issue (including what areas of the world are directly and indirectly influenced, the people who are impacted, the historical roots of the issue, and whether there have been setbacks or improvements).
This portion of your presentation gives your audience the most information in order to understand the context of your issue.
2. Connections – How does your topic connect back to our course outline? You should make a minimum of two connections and provide appropriate rationalization or explanation.
3. Current events – Pull at least two news articles on current events related to your issue (for “current” think in the past few years – 2020-2023 – or check with me).
Present pictures or quotes from the articles and summarize the main points. It should be clear how the articles connect to your issue and you must give a citation or link for each article in your bibliography.
4. Call to action – Culminate your presentation with a call to action. What proactive steps can the average citizen take to help resolve your global issue? While you are not expected, by any means, to have all the answers to solve complex world issues, you can suggest steps the average person can take in order to move in the right direction. What can we do to make a difference?
I have decided my global issue will be gender inequality
