Select a peer-reviewed journal article about a developmental issue related to your final project topic; one which reports an empirical study. Write a 4-page paper. (1) Summarize the article in your own words – keep in mind the parts of an empirical article covered in class. (2) Critique the methodology of the study – discuss both the positive aspects as well as the limitations. (3) Explore some insights that you gained about development (e.g., how persons develop, risks in development, how to promote optimal development). (4) In some fashion, extend the conclusions of the study. Are there some additional insights that you had as you read the article, its data and findings?
