Consider Bardach’s Eight-Fold Path (2000). Compare and contrast this with the steps often taking in social science research more broadly. (Search for “social science research steps” in google, for example).
Discuss the differences between policy analysis and policy advocacy with respect to the following:
The role of the analyst conducting the research/writing;
The client;
The purpose;
The communication of analysis;
How the outputs influence the policy process, and at which stages;
In what ways the outputs should be used to inform decision making.
