Introduction Paragraph: Introduces your topic and provides a preliminary explanation of why this topic is relevant to a general audience. Make sure you end this paragraph with a clear thesis statement that summarizes what the rest of your essay will be about (one paragraph).
Literature review: provide brief reviews of the articles you will use in this essay. At least three should be reviewed.
Optional Expanded overview of your topic (if needed): include any additional information about your topic to help prove that it is socially or culturally relevant. Use background information, current information, facts, statistics, etc. Support your claims with research and properly cite that research in your chosen style (one to three paragraphs as needed).
Overview of one side of the issue: Use facts and research to present one side of this issue objectively.
Overview of an opposing side of this issue: Use facts and research to present another side of this issue objectively.
Conclusion: Reinforces and restates the main point of the argument (why this topic is important); includes a strong concluding statement.
