This is to sharpen your skills in summarizing and analyzing a text. The assignment is to summarize and analyze one of the articles contained in the folder “Articles for Assignments.” Have a introduction and thesis that states what the purpose of the article is. Summarize the article, including paraphrases and direct quotes cited in MLA style, and providing a works cited page for your source. Note: the purpose of a summary is to explain what someone else said. You should outline the point of your article’s argument and explain how the writer supports that point.
. Then analyze the article terms of rhetorical strategies. When does the author use pathos, logos an ethos? (note: the author may use only one or all of these). The analysis part of the paper should be twice as long as the summary.
The paper must be 1000 words or 4 pages, at least. It may be longer than that.
