The purpose of the discussion forum is to provide a platform for students to consider how marketing concepts and principles can be applied in practical scenarios in the global hospitality, travel and tourism arena.

Undertake some research (through the library or other citable resources besides your textbook) to find and share 1) an example of an international trend and 2) an example of an intercultural issue that is impacting global hospitality, travel or tourism business. Then, provide your thoughts on how this trend and issue could be addressed in the marketing strategy of a hospitality, travel or tourism business.

Additionally, you must read at least one other classmate’s posting and provide a critique of or alternative perspective on their suggested marketing strategy for the trend and issue identified. Your comments to your classmate must show depth of thought and consideration. Agreement or disagreement with a fellow student’s posting must be supported by thorough, but succinct, explanation.
