Across the semester you will complete two Research Summaries (during sections 1 and 3). Within the first and third sections you will find a tab labeled Research Articles. Click on this tab and you will find three articles. You should choose one of these three articles for your summary. Each summary should be double-spaced and no more than 300 words. In addition to providing a reference citation (according to APA style manual guidelines), you should also provide a word count. You will be allowed one opportunity to re-write these summaries. Once you receive the graded summary, you will have one week to resubmit (if you choose).
The purpose of a research article is to provide information about an experiment. The seven components that make up a research article include: Title, Abstract, Introduction, Method, Results, Discussion, and References.
