After reading the GCU Doctrinal Statement and Christian Identity and Heritage, how do you think GCU’s Christian heritage makes the GCU academic experience different then at a non-faith-based university? What value will this difference add to your educational experience?
For many years now educators have been proponents of the concept that each and every child can, indeed, learn. The question remains: Can every teacher actually teach? “Every boy and girl, whether entering grade school, high school, or college, should have the opportunity, in fact, the right to have good teachers. Ideally, they should have very good teachers; nevertheless most of them, if not all, will have some who are very poor” (Check, 1999, p. 168). Do you agree that each student deserves to have a very good teacher? Why, or why not? Is there a way we could guarantee that for each and every child in education, we could provide a very good teacher?
