This is an engineering report subjected to be a “quantitative” research to study the feasibility of the circular economy on the abandoned oil and gas pipelines used by Saudi Aramco within Saudi Arabia, by applying the waste management approach to determine the effectiveness of implementing (recycle-or-reuse) methods.
The report is required to have a minimum of 7000 words, 15 to 30 references and the format of the reports will be based on the university format (will be shared with writer after the agreement).
This report shall have a data collection for the quantity of the abandoned pipelines and its composition, such as (carbon steel CS), and literature review for the previous papers with the analysis in according to the circular economy and waste management approach.
Generally, the report shall have an Abstract, Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Results and Discussion, finally with Conclusion and Recommendation.
Starting with the introduction to talk at considerable length about the history of the pipelines in Saudi Arabia, mainly on Saudi Aramco organization they are working on oil and gas projects, and describe the environmental impact on abandoning the carbon steel pipelines underground and how it’s affecting the soil and other minerals by the rusted steel with the long time.
Secondly, the literature review shall also be described in detail with tables and drawings on the basis of doing the (Waste Management) on the obsoleted pipes and other topics such as (Construction and Demolition in industrial facilities) to apply our data based on their findings. Each paper should have a description in the Literature Review Section.
Thirdly, methodology should have the criteria of what we are using for this study, for the data collection and economical analysis, formula and equations, on the way of using Recycle or Re-use decision.
Methodology should describe all the scenarios of working on extracting the underground pipes with the cost of each equipment and material will be part of the Recycling or Re-Using decisions.
Result and Discussion Section should have tables and numbers for the findings results for both decisions to compare the effectiveness between both of them.
Conclusion and Recommendation will talk about the results on how can we suggest better solutions to use for the pipes eithee to reuse for example in construction formwork “off-shore piling” or other ways, or to recycle in order to reduce the carbon emissions and save the environment from the buried steel pipes waste.
Report requires data on:
Waste generation data: Saudi Arabia’s oil and gas industry’s waste pipe volume, composition, size, and shape.
Regulations and policies: Saudi Arabian waste management and recycling laws and international standards.
Infrastructure and technology: Saudi Arabia’s waste pipe processing and recycling facilities, transportation systems, and recycling equipment.
Economic and environmental data: Waste pipe recycling and reuse costs, benefits, and savings.
Stakeholder views: Industry, government, and environmental organizations’ opinions on the feasibility and potential of a circular economy for waste pipes in Saudi Arabia’s oil and gas industry.
Case studies: Other countries and industries that have successfully implemented circular economy systems for waste pipes can teach the Saudi oil and gas industry.
To assess the feasibility of a circular economy for waste pipes from the Saudi oil and gas industry, the data must be analyzed and synthesized.
