A primary reason clinical psychologists conduct research is to determine how well their therapies work and which therapies work best for particular disorders. Treatment outcome research helps guide theorists and clinicians as they evolve their understanding of a variety of disorders and the most effective treatment strategies to treat them.
Write a 1-2 page paper briefly summarizing two different experimental designs commonly used in clinical psychology research and locate an example of each among the hundreds of social science journals available in the Hatch Library.
Choose journal articles that focus on disorders you find interesting or challenging, and provide a brief description of the study and the experimental design used.
