Case Study: James Hanson
James Hanson, as the entrepreneurial owner of his own company, was by default the top producer in his organization. His firm has just been acquired by a larger firm and he and his team are now part of a larger more mature organization. His previous configuration could best be described as what Bolman and Deal (2017) call an impulsive firm, where structure (or in this case, lack of structure) was the driving frame or mental model (p. 86).
