Discussion – Developing Engaging Content
Almost every training program includes new knowledge important to that topic. A danger in any topic is overloading students with content contributing to cognitive overload and contributing students to “shut down” and be unable to grasp much from training at all. Some would argue that since extensive knowledge is available from the internet, is less critical to fill training with huge amounts of content. Others argue that students must acquire some content or they are unable to seek and analyze knowledge effectively. What advice do you give training developers to ensure that training content does not overload students?
