For your Signature Assignment, you will conduct an interview of at least one human resource professional that will include a discussion of their experience with staff recruitment. As part of this interview, be sure to ask questions related to staffing an international workforce (if applicable), ensuring diversity among staff and organization placement, and determining how technology has helped or challenged staff recruitment. Some sample questions may include the following:
-How long have you worked in human resources?
-What is the size of the company you work for?
-What are the best practices for recruitment at the company?
-What are the greatest challenges with recruitment?
-Do you think human resource professionals should use social media, such as Facebook, for hiring?
The above are examples of questions you can ask, but you are encouraged to add more to gain additional insight from the field.
After completing your interview, prepare a paper to report your findings. Be sure your paper includes the following:
-Interview questions
-Interview question responses
-What surprised you about the interview
-What matched the information you gathered from the course readings
-What significant items could you add to your toolbox for future use in the field
Length: 8-10 pages, not including the cover sheet and references
References: Include a minimum of 4-5 scholarly references.
