1. Consider what you know about Homeland Security Legal and Ethical issues, and, focusing on three, share your thoughts. For each, individually discuss; What is it? Why is it an issue? How does it affect the security of our nation? How could we solve it?
2. Examine what you discovered in your homeland security studies outside of history, intelligence, border and coastal security, critical infrastructure protection, legal/ethical issues, homegrown violent extremists, or global terrorism and consider what you found to be the most important, or perhaps the most troubling. Focus on three and share your thoughts. For each, individually discuss What is it? Why is it important? How does it affect the security of our nation?
3. Review the Sector-Specific Plans and select a different Sector-Specific plan to focus upon this week. Regarding your chosen sector, explain the vital role the private sector plays in carrying out the objectives of this document. What do you feel serves as some primary challenges in private sector’s ability to fulfill their homeland security roles and responsibilities related to this plan?
4. Offer an explanation regarding what continuity planning is and its primary benefits related to homeland security and what such planning incorporates. Also, compare and contrast how these efforts are carried out by the public and private sectors.
