Fifth Observation Due Monday, December 5: Write a 3-page observation related to media and pop culture. Choose a piece of media to observe (You do NOT need to observe people IRL for this one; feel free to use social media, magazines, an episode of a tv show, etc) relating to the topics of this class, especially the readings and lecture from Weeks 13 and 14 about internationalist and social change, then take detailed field notes and write an analysis .
It should have 1 – 2 pages of detailed description of what you observed and 1-2 pages of discussion/analysis (650-900 words). Base your observation technique on the reading “Locating the Modern Sacred.”
