– For your final project you will be required to write a research paper on a specific area of the fashion industry and review its intersection with the law. The topic should be specific in nature (not overly broad or all-encompassing) and focus on an area of law and fashion that interests you. Your paper should focus on the following items:
1. The practical implications of how the law (either through legal cases, regulations, laws, or rules) impacts the area of the fashion industry you are discussing
2. Approach the topic through the lens of one of the stakeholders/entities in the fashion industry (Designer, retailer, manufacturer, carrier, spokesperson, etc). What is at stake for this particular party in as it relates to the law?
3. The evolution of the law as it relates to your particular topic and the stakeholders in the fashion industry. How has the law changed, and how do you anticipate it may change in the future?
4. What legal measures should the stakeholder take to protect their particular interests (financial or otherwise)?
