Responses should be a minimum of 4 page for each question.
1. Explain the origins of the Renaissance in Italy and why Italy was such a perfect location for it. Explain the changes that the Renaissance brought to European learning and culture and the people who helped it along, and explain the legacy of the movement.
2. Describe the evolution of Christianity through its stages – Apostolic, Metropolitan, and Papal – and how the religion evolved from its origins in ancient Rome to its pinnacle in medieval Europe. Focus on doctrinal evolution, as well as the administrative changes within the religion. Compare this to the evolution of Islam in the Middle East, including the basic teachings of Islam and the divisions within as shown by the Islamic Golden Age. Also be sure to examine the political side of both Islam and Christianity. How were these religions similar, and how were they different? Focus on the early history of both religions and how they evolved to be the dominant forces
