Examine the question of the use of violence in the cause of justice by those who are religious and/or priests through examples from the movie. Papers should have a clear thesis statement and supporting paragraphs, document sources, and be 3 pages double spaced. What is YOUR position on the use of just war vs. nonviolence. What is your position about the use of religion (priests) in a just war? Start with that, then use examples from the movie to support your thesis. Try to be as straightforward as possible when you write. Don’t use passive sentences, don’t’ put verbs before nouns, etc. Use complete sentences. Your first paragraph should state your thesis clearly. For example: I believe that nonviolence should always be the stance of the church, or I think that the just war tradition is a way to ascertain if a particular situation calls for the use of violence. Then support your thesis.
