A. Provide an overview of the racial identity development model that guided your conceptualization of the movie character’s identity development.
B. Referring to the racial identity development model discussed in the article that you read: (a) identify the character’s stage of identity development at the beginning of the movie, and (b) discuss at least 2 specific ways that the character evinced this stage within the first 30 minutes of the movie.
C. Discuss the character’s racial identity development as the movie progressed, including at least 2 specific examples that evinced progress/change (or lack of) in the character’s racial identity development.

III. Counseling Considerations
A. Describe one issue related to racial identity development that your character-of-focus encountered in the movie. Then, imagining that the character came to see you (a school counselor or private practice counselor) for help with this issue, discuss at least 2 specific pieces of information that you’d need to gather from the client to provide culturally responsive services to her/him/zir.
B. Discuss at least 2 ethical standards from the ACA (2014) Code of Ethics that would be important to keep in mind when working with the character for the issue you described. Make sure that you include the Section/Number of each code that you cite, as well as the page number where the code can be found, in your in-text citations. Example: Per the ACA (2014) Code of Ethics, “Counselors communicate information in ways that are both developmentally and culturally appropriate” (A.2.c., p. 4).
C. Describe at least 2 specific strategies/interventions that you would use to provide culturally responsive services to the character-client and include a rationale for each.
