Listen to an episode of NPR’s podcast, “How I Built This” and write a report summarizing the entrepreneur’s story and making clear connections to course concepts.
For this extra credit opportunity, you’re asked to listen to an episode of NPR’s “How I Built This” Podcast. This podcast features interviews with founders of relatively well known companies, discussing the origins of the companies these entrepreneurs have founded.
Choose any episode that interests you (There are 100+ to choose from). After listening to an episode, write a brief report (1-2 pages). The report should cover the following points:
At the top of your report, indicate the episode title and air date (e.g. “Kickstarter: Perry Chen” 12/31/18)
Provide a brief summary of the entrepreneur’s story (1 paragraph is plenty here).
Make three connections from the entrepreneur’s story to concepts we’ve covered in this course. For instance, you might consider how the entrepreneur’s story exemplifies or challenges concepts from specific assigned readings.
Finally, discuss one lesson aspiring entrepreneurs might glean from the story of this entrepreneur, as discussed in the episode you chose.
