For the Movie Character Analysis assignment, students will create an in-depth 10-12 minute video recorded or voice recorded PowerPoint presentation (no longer than 12 minutes) based on leader communication exhibited by a character from one of the movies listed below. Students will analyze one character and how they utilize leadership communication through the one or more of the communication theories, approaches, and/or skills covered this semester. Please cite specific speech examples to support your analysis by linking movie clips in your presentation. Movie clips can be found via YouTube. All movie clip links should work when clicked. Please see the assignment rubric for grading details in the appropriate module. Your analysis should include but is not limited to: • How the character demonstrates themselves as the leader; • What kind(s) of leadership communication theories, skills, or components they are using; • How the character uses the communication theories, skills, or components to their benefit and how it establishes them as a leader .
