One does not need to be a CEO or senior executive to lead and effect change, hence the paper may need to address roles within the field. This paper is to be no more than ten (10) pages not counting abstract and references, and should be either 11 point font and either 1 ½ . Treat this assignment as an opportunity to critically assess and evaluate your leadership style and abilities and determine if there are things that can be done to enhance what you already do or to change to be more effective. So in some ways this is a reflective piece. However, you must contrast your own styles and methods with the various theories and models of leadership that have been developed in the literature, so there will be a need to access the research literature and professional journals for references to support or document your contentions and thinking. There is an expectation that you will access at least five (5) outside reference sources from the peer reviewed literature and in professional journals. Websites that are reliable and appropriate may also be used. For this assignment you need to use some of the instruments or tools included in the Ledlow textbook and/or tools provided by the instructor for analyzing and evaluating your own leadership. It may be that using the chapters of the book will assist in structuring your analysis. Contrast your own impressions of your style with what you read and learn. It would be wise to include your personal reflection on the SDI2.0 results. One of the purposes of the final assignment is to critical integrate the various exercises and how they reflect on your leadership. Do not just write separate reports on each one. This is a synthesis of the ones you choose. Use at least three of the exercises, but integrating more would be of more interest. You will want to measure the effectiveness of your style and implications. This will likely require you to identify both successful and not-so-successful initiatives that you have been responsible for or involved in; and then examine both from the perspective of your own style and whether it was appropriate for that initiative or not. This is not an opportunity to blame outside entities, but rather to examine how you could have better led the initiative or made a significant contribution. You may also need to address organizational culture as part of the assignment, as well as organizational structural elements. You will likely need to make a statement about what style you prefer or is you generally and then whether you adapt and change depending on situations.
