African Americans should not only be able to but deserve to receive reparations because there were systems put in place to hold back African Americans. Now we are so far behind in society because of these systems it’s hard to keep up without certain resources which were taken from us.

Slavery prevented African Americans to pursue their culture, receive proper education, and much more.
Decedents of slaves should get 40 acres and a mule

Just another system proved to put in place to separate African Americans from everybody else

The lack of resources that blacks have access to (the now)
African Americans should be repaid in educational scholarships, financial assistance for starting or improving a business, financial assistance for buying or remodeling a home, and cash payments.
African Americans deserve reparations because so much was taken from us, and many obstacles were put in place to keep us from getting the same benefits as anybody else.
