Purpose
To conduct an in-depth analysis of the financial statements the public organization IDRC.
Instructions for the assignment
Give reasons for choosing IDRC.
Obtain the two most recent financial statements (minimum 3 years of analysis).
Briefly describe the organization’s governance structure, the laws and regulations that govern its mission, its activities and the identity of its comparables or competitors, if applicable (maximum 1 page).
Present the highlights and exceptional events of the past fiscal year (maximum ½ page).
Calculate and interpret seven relevant ratios to analyze historical and/or comparative performance and/or from the perspective of different stakeholders, (taxpayer, user, customer, citizen, manager, investor).
Comment on the notes to the financial statements and the auditor’s opinion.
