struggling with substance use. Over the last several years, there has been a drastic spike in the number
of individuals, ages 12-17, that are actively using substances in the region; specifically, heroin and
fentanyl. In addition to published research and data that shows evidence of this growing community
need, staff at the agency are also sharing the high number of calls received by staff for parents
advocating for minors that are seeking drug treatment.
