The allied fire and emergency medical services (EMS) have not been spared from lawsuits regarding discrimination and/or harassment. Conduct research, and identify a fire and EMS-based case study of your choosing regarding a discrimination or harassment lawsuit.

Outline the contributing factors that led to the lawsuit.
Outline best practices to resolve the issue prior to a lawsuit.
Describe methods for limiting liability to workplace discrimination and/or harassment lawsuits.
Describe what you learned from this case and how you can apply this knowledge.
Describe your organization’s harassment or discrimination policy. What can your organization learn from this case? If you are not currently employed, explain a school or volunteer organization.
