In this project you will do what social psychologists do: design an experiment to test a
hypothesis, conduct the experiment, and write up the results. This project will involve
creating a real-world situation that provides strangers with the opportunity to engage in
helping behavior. You will collect data about whether these strangers help you.
This project will be completed in groups of 2-3 people. Although members of a group can
collaborate on all aspects of the experiment and will combine their data for analysis, each
member will write up a final paper entirely on their own.
