THIS ASSIGNMENT HAS SOME HYPOTHETICAL COMPONENTS AND SOME REAL FACTS COMPONENT. PLEASE NOTE WHICH SECTION FOLLOWS WHICH MINDSET.
This assignment will have 3 sections
Participants: In this section explain how you plan to recruit participants for our class study. Let’s assume you will recruit 100 participants in this study. Explain what you believe will be the age (include average age and standard devation), gender breakdown (number of males and females), ethnic breakdown (breakdown number of people per race), and socio-economic breakdown (how many participants will be from each SCS class). Also explain where you plan to recruit the participants and why this makes sense to you. Lastly discuss if this experiment needs a consent form and justify your answer. [THIS SECTION IS BASED OFF A HYPOTHETICAL COMPONENT SINCE WE DID NOT RECRUIT PARTICIPANTS YET].
Material (this section will take about a page): Briefly describe the materials in this experiment. In our case we are using 4 surveys (see attachment-4 conditions). Explain what is contained within this survey so that someone else could replicate our study, if they so choose. Emphaze what is the same and different in each story. Focus on explaining our IV, levels, DV, and be sure to have operational definitions where applicable. It would help to provide example questions. [THIS SECTION IS BASED ON REAL FACTS BECAUSE YOU ARE USING THE SURVEY I GAVE OUT LAST CLASS}
Procedure: Provide a step by step breakdown of our experiment. Do this in paragraph form (not bullet form) and include enough details so that someone else could repeat these steps if they choose to do our experiment.
Assignment length: Minimum 2 pages. Times New Roman. Font 12. Double Spacing.
