Project Descriiption:
For this section of the portfolio, you will explain how to create and analyze a balance sheet. Make sure to cover the following areas:
1. In your own words, provide a 4-6 sentence definition of a balance sheet, including the purpose it serves.
2. Create an example balance sheet. This balance sheet must be your ORIGINAL work. You may not use a balance sheet from your textbook or any other source. The balance sheet you create will be for the fictional company for which this training manual is being created. Please provide the name for this fictional company and put it at the top of the balance sheet. Refer back to Chapter 2 (p. 60) and Chapter 3 (pp. 98-99, 104-106) in your textbook for assistance with creating your balance sheet.
3. How should a balance sheet be analyzed? In other words, what information does it give us about the company’s financial situation? Use the example balance sheet you created to explain how this should be done.
