Introduction
The hospital and other healthcare facilities play a huge role in the immediate and surrounding communities. Often times, it is the major employer for the area. It can attract new businesses. However, with the increasing shift from inpatient to outpatient, many hospitals and health-related providers are finding that there isn’t a large demand for their services. In fact, we have seen many close their doors or reduce the services offered. These organizations might need to re-assess what it is the community needs from them and how they can adjust the organizational resources to meet those changing needs. Incorporating a community assessment into the operational goals and priorities of the organization will be the focus of this assignment.
This discussion requires you to compare and contrast management theories used to address morale issues within a healthcare setting.
