My mission as a nurse is to provide competent and compassionate to every patient and family member that I have the pleasure of caring for. I solemnly swear that for the entirety of my employment as a nurse, I will always act in a manner that is honest, compassionate, professional, and polite. I also promise to continue my study throughout the whole of my life profession in order to continue gaining information and improving their ability to deliver the very best treatment possible to patients and the families of those patients. I know that the transition from nursing school to working in the real world may be a bit terrifying and also discovering that what you study in nursing school isn’t always going to be same things as what you pick up on the job This never really happened to me from going to school for LPN and then going to work, the one thing that went wrong was that I didn’t realize how exhausting it would be on my body, physically. The nursing profession as a whole face a significant problem with burnout, particularly in specific specialty areas that have a greater risk of burnout compared to other specialties, including transplant, intensive care, neonatal, oncology, and burn. The burnout happens as a result of nursing shortages that lower levels of satisfaction, see an increase in stress levels, and have a greater incidence of staff turnover among nurses who work in such units. In my experience, reality shock and burnout are the two most significant elements that can have a significant impact on a nurse’s professional trajectory. My objective is to never encounter either circumstance to the point that I question why I decided to become a nurse in the first place. In order for me to achieve my objective, I will need to make certain that I take proper care of myself psychologically and both mentally and physically in order to be able to provide care for my patients and the families of my patients. I have experience dealing with registered nurses.at my present position, so I have a little of an idea what to expect while working as an RN in the future. Despite the fact that when you change facilities, there is also a change in the expectations that come with the position. The most important thing for me to accomplish is adhere to my mission statement, maintain my educational pursuits, and continue to maintain my level of expertise as well as my compassion toward the patients and families I come into contact with while providing treatment. There is no doubt that there will be moments when I will be challenged, but all I need to do is remind myself of the reasons why I chose to become a nurse in the first place. Also, taking the time to live life and take care of myself will be a big factor in determining my success during the course of this impressive career. Reference: Carlson, K. (2016, May 16). The career choice of nursing, punctuality, time management, multi-tasking, prioritizing, & self-discipline, are several tools that are needed and necessary.
