The abstract and primary sources have been turned in already and are attached. I have 2 sources but may need one more. They have to be by the person, so written by Helen Wooley.
You will be asked to select a problem or person in the history of psychology that is of particular interest to you. We will then use this as a point of departure for identifying and reading (primary source) material to get a deeper understanding of the person/problem. Topics that are not sufficiently broad, or that are heavily oriented toward clinical psychology (e.g., the history of a particular disorder, treatment, or diagnostic instrument) should be avoided.
Papers are expected to be between 6-10 pages in length (not including title page/abstract/references), be in APA format (APA 7, Professional), and include at least 3 references (a single book also meets the requirement) that are primary sources (i.e. written by the people of interest or their contemporaries). This topic must be historical, meaning the topic should be pre-1970; if you are writing about a particular person, then the bulk of their work must have been done before 1970. Topics will be cleared with the instructor before Week 6, and a 1/2 page abstract and reference list is due Week 8. Some examples of previous topics include: Eugenics, Development of Intelligence Testing, Gender Differences, & Lobotomies.
